Sedanolide induces autophagy through the PI3K, p53 and NF-κB signaling pathways in human liver cancer cells

Sedanolide (SN), a phthalide-like compound from celery seed oil, 250 and 500 μM SN induce autophagy in J5 cells, leading to human liver cancer cell death. The molecular mechanism involves regulation of PI3K, p53 and NF-κB expression during autophagy induction.
